Michael Beale may have confirmed Alfredo Morelos Rangers exit after recent comments
Michael Beale said that Rangers will be looking for another striker in the summer which could mean that Alfredo Morelos will be leaving the club.
Gers beat St Johnstone by a 2-0 scoreline in the Premiership on Saturday, 28 January and as it was the final game before the end of the transfer window, Beale was asked about potential incomings.
He addressed four areas, of which we can understand three, but having two first-team strikers in Morelos and Antonio Colak, it was surprising to say that the club were keen on adding one in the summer.
Via Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, he said, “A midfielder that’s powerful and can run… another centre half… I think we’ll be looking at the goalie situation in the summer, we’ll be looking for another number 9”.
Morelos’ future has been up in the air for over a year and with six months left for his contract to expire, there still is no clarity.
Beale has said recently that he wants to keep him at Ibrox, but the fact that he’s looking at another number nine means that the Colombian could be on his way out.

Signing new strikers in January isn’t easy and that’s probably why Morelos wasn’t cashed in on in this window.
Bringing in someone as good or better than him would’ve been a challenge and there were other areas that need reinforcing quicker.
He got Todd Cantwell and hopefully he gets in Nicolas Raskin so that sorts out two key areas but this could be Morelos’ last few months at the club.
In other Rangers news, the club are now fancying their chances of major a January transfer after Fabrizio Romano’s update with a move on the cards.
