Rangers could sign three more players ahead of Jan 31 deadline, fee agreed with one player
Rumours have emerged aplenty over the course of the January window as Michael Beale looks to add further quality to his Rangers squad.
To date, Todd Cantwell is the only player to arrive through the door at Ibrox – but there’s certainly hope that more additions will follow in the 24-year-old’s footsteps.
The Gers are reportedly closing in on the signing of Standard Liege midfielder Nicolas Raskin, with the Fourth Official suggesting (Patreon, 25 January) the Gers have now reached a full agreement with the Jupiler League side ahead of the 21-year-old completing his move to the Scottish Premiership giants.
Raskin is believed to have already agreed personal with the Light Blues, and this is a deal which looks like it’s close to being completed.
Another player who has been linked with the Gers is Anderlecht right-back Noah Sadiki, it’s been suggested (Jeunes Footeux, 16 January) the Light Blues are in a transfer battle with PSV for the promising young defender who is out of contract in June.
This is a deal which looks the most unlikely out of all of the current targets, but there’s still a chance Beale and the board could pull something off.
Finally, Swansea City attacker Morgan Whittaker is a player Beale firmly has his eye on. The Guardian’s Fabrizio Romano has suggested (BetVictor, 25 January) the Gers are expected to try again for the 22-year-old after seeing a bid rejected.
It feels as if this is a deal which could go down to the very wire for the Light Blues – and Beale will be hoping the board give him as much financial support as possible to get a transfer over the line.
In other Rangers news, one staff member is now set to exit next month with the departure already green lit.
