Todd Cantwell sends message to fans on Twitter after being officially unveiled as Rangers player

Todd Cantwell has assured Rangers fans that he and his new teammates have the battle fever on in the SPFL.

The 24-year-old was officially announced as a Rangers player on 23 January after he completed his move from EFL Championship side Norwich City.

He is the first signing of the Michael Beale era and he’s moved to Ibrox with the side playing catch up to rivals Celtic in the title race.

Via Twitter, Cantwell wrote, “We’ve got the battle fever on.”

Here we go

Cantwell offers the side the much-needed fluidity during games because he can play both as an inside forward as well as in midfield and Beale would certainly admire that.

The Englishman appears to be a signing that checks a lot of Beale’s boxes because he likes his players to move about a lot.

Although the 24-year-old hasn’t been in the best of form lately, his quality speaks for itself, and he’s shown it in the Premier League, so there’s undoubtedly something special about him.

At 24, it can be argued that he has yet to reach his best and will only become better at Ibrox.

He was even once linked with a move to Liverpool so he’s certainly got the potential of making it at the top of the game.

Hopefully, he won’t be the only name coming through the door as Gers need at least two more signings if they are to mount a realistic title challenge.

In other Rangers news, the club are now fancying their chances of major a January transfer after Fabrizio Romano’s update with a move on the cards.
