Rangers update emerges as they eye transfer for Norwich City midfielder Todd Cantwell

Rangers are reportedly likely to unveil the signing of Todd Cantwell from Norwich City next week after agreeing a deal to sign him.

According to Glasgow Live [21 January], the Englishman will be moving to Ibrox this month despite interest from elsewhere.

Michael Beale witnessed the Englishman play firsthand back during his days in the EFL Championship when he was in charge of QPR.

Get it done

The Beale era is truly underway at Rangers as at least two or three players now appear to be closing in on a move to the club.

Cantwell is someone who can play in midfield as well as an inside forward so he gives the side much-needed fluidity during games.

Beale is someone who likes his players to move around a lot and Cantwell seems to be a signing that ticks a number of boxes for him.

We’re hoping that all is done with this deal and an announcement is nigh as there’s not too much left and we’re wondering why it hasn’t been made official yet.

If Rangers do not sign him from here, it’ll be an absolute shambles and they’ve got to do everything they can in order to get it over the line.

They’ve got the money and the player’s keen on moving as well so there’s no reason for it to be so delayed.

In other Rangers news, the club are now fancying their chances of major a January transfer after Fabrizio Romano’s update with a move on the cards.
