Rangers prepare third bid for Swansea City winger Morgan Whittaker
Rangers are preparing their “third bid” to sign Swansea City winger Morgan Whittaker in the January transfer window, according to a report from The Daily Record.
Fabrizio Romano reported on Thursday (19 January) that the Bears made an offer to the Welsh club for the 22-year-old winger, which was rejected.
However, it appears that the Gers are willing to bring him to Ibrox and they are preparing a third bid for the player, as Michael Beale eyes “top gear” January transfer window shopping.

Depth
When Beale was appointed, he made it very clear that he wants players who can improve the first team, and that he doesn’t need squad players anymore.
If that is the case, he sees Whittaker as someone who can make an immediate impact to the side.
The Bears do have options in the wing areas. Ryan Kent is still around and there are even suggestions that the club could find a way to persuade him to stay put [Daily Record].
Malik Tillman has impressed while Ianis Hagi remains another option for Beale.

However, Scott Wright is one player who has dropped down the pecking order at the club, and he could be sold.
Whittaker has enjoyed a brilliant loan spell at Plymouth from Swansea in the first half of the campaign. He scored nine goals and provided seven assists in League One before he was recalled by Swansea.
The Welsh club have rejected two offers already, but it seems the Gers are determined to land him.
