Swansea attacker Morgan Whittaker wants to push through transfer to Rangers
Morgan Whittaker wants to push through a move to Rangers as soon as possible as the Light Blues begin talks with Swansea City, according to the Fourth Official.
The Guardian’s Fabrizio Romano revealed (via Twitter, 17 January) Rangers had submitted a bid for the Derby-born 22-year-old attacker and that talks were ongoing with the South Wales club.
The Fourth Official have since suggested (Patreon, 17 January) that Whittaker wants to push through a move to Ibrox and that he wants the deal “done at the earliest”.

Prospect
Whittaker was probably the most impressive attacker in League One in the first half of the 2022/23 season and was a huge part of Plymouth setting the pace at the top of the table. He has had numerous loans throughout his career and it feels like he has finally had a breakout season.
Beale will undoubtedly look at the 22-year-old and see him as a long-term project. He can operate across the front line and is left-footed which could add another dimension to the Light Blues’ attack. It will be interesting to see if Rangers can come to an agreement with the Swans.

His contract in South Wales runs until the summer of 2025 and it will be no surprise to see the Championship side command a big fee for his services.
If the board at Ibrox want to show their support to the new boss this is a move they should be looking to back Beale on – he could well turn out to be a considerable asset in the future.
In other Rangers news, the Gers are expected to sign this “World Cup star” in January.
