Kamara and Arfield return, Tillman axed – Rangers starting XI vs Kilmarnock
Michael Beale has named his Rangers starting XI to face Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday (18 January), the club has confirmed.
Seeking to close the gap to rivals Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership, the Gers make the trip to Rugby Park to face Kilmarnock on Wednesday night.
The two teams endured contrasting results in the Scottish ViaPlay Cup semi-finals over the weekend, with the Michael Beale’s men edging past Aberdeen and Killie losing out to Celtic, which means it will be an Old Firm final at the end of February.

The Scottish Premiership returns in midweek though, and as confirmed on Twitter prior to kick-off, Rangers make three changes with Jon McLaughlin, Glen Kamara and Scott Arfield returning to the side in place of Allan McGregor, John Lundstram and Malik Tillman.
Must win
With Old Firm rivals Celtic kicking off against St Mirren at home, they will be expected to pick up another three points this evening which adds much more pressure on Beale and his men to beat Kilmarnock also.
The Hoops remain nine points clear at the top of the table after 21 games, and Rangers cannot afford to drop points in their rather slim quest to catch the runaway league leaders.

The Gers have been in stunning form since Beale’s appointment, winning six and drawing just once of their seven games under the former Queens Park Rangers boss.
Facing off against a side struggling to steer clear of the drop zone, this could well be a forgone conclusion for Rangers, but Beale will know his side cannot afford any form of complacency with Celtic running away with their second consecutive Scottish title.
In other Rangers news, ex-player says this Gers target won’t be a flop at Ibrox, with advanced talks to sign him already underway.
