Rangers: Michael Beale closes the door on transfer for Everton midfielder Tom Davies
Michael Beale has closed the door on a potential Rangers transfer move for Everton midfielder Tom Davies, as shared by Heart and Hand podcast host Atcolin.
The Fourth Official had linked Davies with a move to Ibrox on January 9, although no contact was ever said to be made about a potential transfer.
Now, Beale has stated that there has been “no interest” in the Merseyside maestro claiming he only spoke about him when he was asked.
“Michael Beale – there’s been no interest from us in Tom Davis,” as quoted by Atcolin on Twitter. (17 January, 1:17 PM)
“I spoke about him when asked but he won’t be a Rangers player.”

Another one.
This one smells a bit fishy, to be honest, Beale was clearly pretty open about his admiration for Davies and seems to have done a massive U-turn here.
Maybe the club just weren’t willing to give him the cash to splash on the maestro, considering his likely poor resale value further down the line.
Fabrizio Romano did report some good news from a transfer standpoint today for the Gers this season though, with the club making a bid for Morgan Whittaker from Swansea.
The 22-year-old is comfortable playing anywhere across the frontline and could prove to be a savvy bit of business from Beale and the Light Blues hierarchy.
Any move for Whittaker likely means the end of Alfredo Morelos’ time at Ibrox, with Antonio Colak and Kemar Roofe both still at the club.
It’s a shame that the Colombian’s time will be ending on a slightly sour note but unfortunately, that’s just how things have panned out.
In other Rangers news, the Gers have tabled a six-figure bid to sign an in-demand English attacker, with the club wanting cash now.
