Sky Sports shares Rangers transfer news as Todd Cantwell favours Ibrox move
Rangers have held “positive talks” with Todd Cantwell about a transfer, with the player preferring a move to Ibrox over other options, say Sky Sports.
The 24-year-old midfielder has been linked with a move to Rangers and has been tipped to become Michael Beale’s first signing since returning to the club as manager.
Norwich have already rejected a £1.5m bid from a rival Championship club, and while there have been no official offers from Glasgow, the player has got his eyes set on a move to Rangers.

“Rangers are leading the chase for Norwich’s Todd Cantwell after positive talks with the midfielder, however, Sky Sports News understands there has been no official bid made for the player,” they wrote (13 January).
“Sky Sports News understands Cantwell, who has four England U21 caps, favours a move to Ibrox ahead of the other options presented to him.”
Perfect
Cantwell’s ability isn’t in question, and has had pundits brand him “exceptional” recently despite his struggles in recent seasons at Carrow Road.
The player who once ripped up the Premier League in bright yellow is still there somewhere, and a fresh environment with a caring arm and huge support behind him is likely to be exactly what he needs.

At his best operating in the forward line behind the striker, Cantwell will offer lovely competition for the likes of Ryan Kent, Fashion Sakala and Malik Tillman who currently occupy those starting positions.
He provides greater depth, and as a young player with great experience he is exactly the type of signing that we should be targeting as the core of our squad continues to age.
All signs are positive with this one, and bringing in a player who wants to be here is a great sign, so now we hope that he can find the form that made him a household name once again.
