Borna Barisic and Ryan Jack to be axed – Rangers predicted XI v Aberdeen in Scottish League Cup semi-final
Rangers will look to make it to their first Scottish League Cup final since 2020 when they face Aberdeen at Hampden on Sunday afternoon.
The Bears were knocked out at the semi-final stage last season by Hibernian, but they come into this form in excellent form since Michael Beale came in as manager.
Unbeaten since his arrival, they’ll look to maintain that record but the boss could make a few changes to keep his team fresh ahead of a rather gruelling schedule.

Beale shocked a lot of people by picking Jon McLaughlin last time out ahead of Allan McGregor, but he impressed with his performance and should keep his place in the side for the cup game.
The team are unlikely to win the Premiership title ahead of Celtic at this point, so the cups take on a greater importance and Beale is unlikely to go in too heavy with the changes.
Captain James Tavernier and Connor Goldson should retain their place in defence as senior players and leaders in the team, but there could be changes alongside them.
James Sands hasn’t featured much since Beale’s arrival but the American could slot into the centre of defence to allow Ben Davies a break, while Adam Devine has proven he is capable of playing to a great level at left-back and could come back into the side to replace Borna Barisic.
Glen Kamara is firmly back in the picture at Ibrox since Beale’s return, and should start in the midfield in place of the experienced Ryan Jack, with John Lundstram continuing to be a key figure in the side.

Further forward, Beale seems to have settled upon his strongest attack and he will stick with that here.
Malik Tillman and Fashion Sakala have been the wide men consistently and both have delivered goals and assists regularly since his arrival, while Ryan Kent has shone in his new central role too.
Up front Antonio Colak has struggled for game time and went off with an injury at half-time against Dundee United, so Alfredo Morelos should find himself back in the starting lineup.
Rangers predicted XI v Aberdeen: McLaughlin; Tavernier, Goldson, Sands, Devine; Kamara, Lundstram; Tillman, Kent, Sakala; Morelos
