Alex Lowry sends Michael Beale reminder after Rangers B hat-trick v Civil Service Strollers

Michael Beale is looking for reinforcements at Rangers this January transfer window but he has to remember the talent already at Auchenhowie.

Alex Lowry has gone about sending that reminder to the manager after he starred with a sensational hat-trick for David McCallum’s B team on Tuesday (10 January) to lead the side to a 3-1 win against Civil Service Strollers.

The 19-year-old is the undoubted star of the Lowland League right now and he has looked the part in a Rangers shirt whenever his first-team chances have come.

Beale is yet to give him a chance on the pitch since taking over from Giovanni van Bronckhorst, who did try to play him when he could, and Lowry is showing no signs of content with that scenario.

The new manager has seemed to be ready to spend money to improve Rangers’ fortunes this season with Todd Cantwell on the verge of a move to Ibrox in the coming days, as reported by the 4th Official.

The Norwich City man is yet another attacking midfielder who often makes himself the team’s primary chance provider but that is the same role Lowry loves to do whenever he gets the chance.

By signing another similar talent to the Scottish teenager, Beale is only serving to obstruct his path to regular first-team football in Glasgow.

Luckily for Lowry, the January transfer window is open and he should be trying to push through a loan move to either a Championship or even Premiership side rather than waste his time in the Lowland League.

Everything he has shown for the club so far suggests he is far too good to be slumming it with non-league sides so unless Beale is going to start playing him every week, in some capacity, then he has to be allowed to leave on loan this month.

In other Rangers news, the Light Blues are willing to battle Old Firm rivals Celtic for the signing of this striker who featured at the World Cup.
