Rangers ready official offer to sign Todd Cantwell from Norwich, quickfire transfer on the cards
Rangers are set to make a bid for Todd Cantwell “relatively shortly” with Norwich unlikely to stand in the 24-year-old’s way, according to The 4th Official.
According to the 4th Official (9 January), the Gers are said to be in “advanced talks” to secure the services of the attacking midfielder.
It’s believed a bid hasn’t been made as of yet but it’s been suggested an offer could well be close as discussions continue.

“As I mentioned in yesterday’s article, Rangers are already in talks with Todd Cantwell. I have been told that while an official offer has not been made to Norwich City, that should change soon,” wrote the 4th Official (11 January, Patreon).
“One of my sources was confident that an offer would be made to the Championship club relatively shortly once there is an agreement between Cantwell and the Rangers. There is no expectation that Norwich City will stand in the way once Cantwell agrees on the move.”
Get it done
Cantwell is a player who clearly has bundles of potential but is yet to really show it on a consistent basis. A move to a different country and league could well be the making of the attacking midfielder after struggling for form at Carrow Road.
He was highly thought of as a youngster and was tipped to make a move to Liverpool in the 2022 January window. For whatever reason, his career has taken a downward turn and moving to a new and fresh environment could see him thrive.

Rangers could certainly look to benefit with Cantwell clearly a talented individual who could take the Scottish Premiership by storm should he opt to move to Ibrox. He has played regularly in the Premier League and could thrive alongside Malik Tillman and Ryan Kent in attacking midfield.
There seems to be some traction in this transfer rumour and one the board could look to get over the line in the coming weeks.
In other Rangers news, the club have been told they will need to break the bank to sign a key man from a rival SPFL side.
