Todd Cantwell in Glasgow ahead of Rangers medical, would be Michael Beale’s first signing
Todd Cantwell is already in Glasgow as he prepares for a medical ahead of a reported move to Rangers, according to Vital Football.
The 24-year-old has not kicked on after an impressive start to life at Norwich City which led to him being loaned to Bournemouth last season and he is now looking for a way out of Carrow Road.
His contract in Norfolk comes to an end in the summer and, as a result, Norwich are looking to try and cash in on the former England Under-21 international now rather than lose him for nothing.

Vital Football have not specified a potential price on the deal or if it is even a permanent move with a loan always possible in the winter transfer window.
Cantwell would be Michael Beale’s first signing as Rangers manager after he was chosen to replace Giovanni van Bronckhorst at Ibrox and he has not lost a game since taking over.
Injury cover
If there is one thing lacking in the Rangers midfield at the moment it is a creative attacking player who can carve a team open with one pass or drop of the shoulder.
They did have that at the start of the season in former Derby County captain Tom Lawrence but the Welshman has been injured for some time now and Beale needs another option.

Malik Tillman has tried to fill that void behind the main striker and while he has produced some magic moments, they have not come around often enough for Beale who wants to find a new source of genius.
Cantwell could provide that having been something of a star in his first Premier League season with the Canaries when he was younger and that spark is something he needs to try and find again.
Ibrox might be the place he discovers that again and under Beale, he could turn into a sublime player who goes on to make the club a huge profit down the line.
In other Rangers news, the Light Blues are prepared to go head-to-head with Old Firm rivals Celtic to sign this striker who shone at the World Cup.
