Rangers legitimately scouting centre-back William Pacho

Rangers are legitimately scouting 21-year-old Royal Antwerp centre-back William Pacho for a potential move to Ibrox, according to former Eurosport journalist Dean Jones.

With Michael Beale far from set on his current Ranger backline the youngster would provide stiff competition for the likes of Connor Goldson and Ben Davies.

Jones shared that Rangers are legitimately scouting Pacho and seem to be happy with what they have seen from the starlet since doing so.

“The scouting of him seems legit and they’re happy with the type of player he is,” said Jones as quoted by GIVEMESPORT.

“Now we wait to find out whether they will take that next step in terms of trying to sign him.”

Stamping authority.

Beale will be looking to stamp his authority on this Rangers team in January and looks likely to be lining up multiple signings to join his ranks at Ibrox.

It’s needed, massively, if the Gers stand any chance of competing with Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership and in future European competitions.

It’s nice to see the Light Blues exploring options outside of the box too, talents like Pacho could add a completely different dimension to this current Rangers squad.

The Quinindé-born starlet has made 24 appearances for Antwerp this season, helping his team towards 10 clean sheets already.

And whilst he’s far from the finished article, he’s a player that Beale could mould into something far greater in future campaigns to come.

It will be telling in the next few weeks as to whether or not Beale and Rangers make a move for the youngster but it looks like the interest is very real.

In other Rangers news, the Gers are expected to sign this “World Cup star” in January.
