Rangers-linked Oscar Gloukh in talks over January transfer, confirms agent

Rangers and Celtic linked Oscar Gloukh appears to be keen on moving to Ligue 1 side Monaco in the January transfer window.

Shahar Greenberg, who serves as the agent of the 18-year-old Maccabi Tel Aviv midfielder who is drawing attention from a number of clubs in Europe, has gone on record to state that they’re in talks over a move to Monaco.

While it’s not confirmed that he will be moving to France, it is pretty clear that an exit is on the cards in the coming weeks.

Greenberg told Israeli media Sport 5, as transcribed by the Daily Record, “We are in discussions with AS Monaco. Let’s see how that evolves.”

As these talks do not appear to be advanced, it’s a good chance for Ross Wilson and co to hijack this deal and also get one over rivals Celtic who are also linked with the Israeli midfielder.

It’s understood that the teenager is not a priority at Ibrox currently, but that could change after learning the fact that he’s open to jumping ship in January.

Gers clearly need a versatile and technical presence in the middle of the park and Gloukh would be the perfect addition to Michael Beale’s side.

It’s certain that they’re going to need reinforcements this month and the fact that the Israel international was on the radar back when Beale and Steven Gerrard were at the club, could suggest that the Gers boss will have an eye on any developments over the player’s future.

In other Rangers news, the club are now fancying their chances of major a January transfer after Fabrizio Romano’s update with a move on the cards.
