Rangers confirmed starting line-up v Celtic: Michael Beale makes two changes
Michael Beale has named a strong Rangers starting line-up against Celtic at Ibrox on Monday (2 January) in the Scottish Premiership.
In his first Old Firm derby game as a manager, Beale will expect his side to pick up all three points and reduce the gap to six points at the top of the table.
Via Twitter, have shared the playing eleven for this game with Beale making two changes to the side that won 3-0 against Motherwell on Wednesday (28 December).
Ryan Jack and Alex Lowry have been dropped to the bench. Glen Kamara and Fashion Sakala have been included in the starting line-up.
Must win
This is a must-win game for the Gers. Many would say that a draw won’t be a bad result considering how good Celtic are at the moment, but anything apart from a win would be a disappointment.
It’s understandable that Beale will need a lot of time to rebuild a strong squad capable of challenging Celtic for the title, but it’s a derby game, and anything can happen over the course of 90 minutes.
If Rangers can get an early goal and get the fans behind them, they will fancy their chances of winning the tie. The Bears have surpassed expectations in big European games under an electrifying atmosphere at Ibrox, and they are capable of doing it again.

They are heading into this game on the back of four straight wins, including two clean sheets which should give them a lot of confidence.
Above all, it is their last chance of getting back into the title race. If Celtic win today, the title race is truly over.
