January may not be the right time for Rangers rebuilding work – journalist
The January window may not be the ideal time for Michael Beale to do the rebuilding job at Rangers, as suggested by journalist Chris Jack.
The Bears are missing a lot of key players through injuries, and some of them are playing through the injury barrier as well.
So, it would be really hard for Beale to fully assess the squad unless he gets those players back, which could seem like new signings to the club.

“Players have already been identified for the summer window and talk of ‘one or two’ from Beale didn’t suggest there would be widespread changes over the next month or so,” wrote Jack for the Herald Scotland.
“Given the considerable wage bill Rangers are carrying and their position in the title race, January just doesn’t seem to be the prime time for wheeling and dealing.”
Enough depth
Rangers do have enough depth in their squad to win matches week in and week out in the league.
With no European football to focus on, Beale as such will not feel the need to make a wholesome change to the squad.
However, the injury to Steven Davis could change his plans. The Bears could look to sign a new midfielder in January, with Davis set to be out for the rest of the season.

It remains unclear what the future holds for Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos, and it can well happen that the club may have to sell both of them. In such a scenario, Beale will have to delve into the market for replacements.
Jack is absolutely spot on here. The likes of Ridden Yilmaz, John Souttar, and Tom Lawrence can make a big difference to the side. Unless he gets a fully fit squad, it won’t be easy for him to consider the rebuilding task.
In other Rangers news, a £5million twist has emerged in Southampton’s bid to sign Ryan Kent.
