Rangers want to sign Lyndon Dykes as Ibrox transfer news drops
Rangers manager Michael Beale is “keen” to reunite with Queens Park Rangers striker Lyndon Dykes by signing him during the January transfer window, according to journalist Dean Jones.
After taking over the job in the Ibrox dugout from Giovanni van Bronckhorst, the 42-year-old has presided over two consecutive 3-2 wins in the Scottish Premiership but is still looking to strengthen his squad in the winter window.
Dykes, 27, is entering the last 18 months of his contract at Loftus Road, and Rangers are ready to pounce on the uncertainty over his long-term future at the club.

According to former Eurosport journalist Jones, Beale is keeping close tabs on the striker, but will find it hard to prise him away from his former Championship club.
He told GiveMeSport: “I’ve checked it out and Dykes is definitely someone that Rangers are keen on.
“The slight problem is that QPR absolutely do not want to lose him.”

Goal threat
There is no arguing that Dykes is a prolific goalscorer, having netted 64 goals and registered 53 assists throughout his club career. He is a predator in the final third of the pitch, and Beale seemed to get the most out of his ability, netting six times in 21 appearances while Beale was at the helm at QPR. [Transfermarkt]
He is a player who Beale knows well, and he would be able to fit into the new Rangers system easily, so a swoop in January does make a lot of sense.
The major roadblock will most likely be QPR’s reluctance to lose another prized asset to the Glasgow club, so they may make Rangers pay that bit more.
Alfredo Morelos is likely entering the latter stages of his Ibrox career – with his contract expiring next summer – so the Gers need to find a financially viable replacement, and Dykes fits the bill perfectly.
In other Rangers news, Beale has already revealed some of his January transfer plans in the media and it might not be what fans want to hear.
