New attacker in January on cards in Rangers ‘stocking filler’ transfer news
Rangers could get a “Stocking filler” by signing a new forward option in the upcoming January transfer window, according to the Daily Record.
The newspaper has reported on its website that the final third is a “critical area” for Michael Beale and Ross Wilson with long-term changes on the cards.
Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent have still not signed new contracts and are on track to leave Ibrox for free in the summer, leaving huge gaps that need sorting.

Writing in their Christmas update ahead of the January transfer window, the Daily Record shared what would be an ideal stocking filler for the Bears.
“An additional forward,” they wrote. “This will be a critical area to strengthen in the summer if Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent don’t sort out their contracts, but for the short term they can get away with it.
“It’s not an ideal scenario to have two top assets potentially walking away for free. So perhaps there will be some long-term thinking again and a new forward is brought to Govan in anticipation of exits.
“That said, if they don’t depart in January, those two plus Antonio Colak, Scott Wright, a returning Ianis Hagi, Fashion Sakala and Rabbi Matondo provide options.”

The Best Gift.
Bringing in that star-studded attacker in this upcoming window could make all of the difference.
Wilson has to have a list of targets ready for January, and if he hasn’t, we are building ourselves up for yet another failure which would basically end our season.
With Kent and Morelos not signing on the dotted line yet, someone simply has to be brought in next month to be another star at Ibrox, regardless of news elsewhere.
The two attackers could still sign a new contract too, with Connor Goldson taking until the very last second to sign his own new deal at the start of this summer.
Ianis Hagi coming back will be like a new signing too, so the final third could look very different at Ibrox in the space of a few weeks, something that Beale would surely welcome right now.
2023 is going to be a year of change at Auchenhowie, and it could be kickstarted with some new faces coming in – who could say no to that?
In other Rangers news, Beale has already revealed some of his January transfer plans in the media and it might not be what fans want to hear.
