Michael Beale makes unexpected Rangers move as Ibrox news drops

Michael Beale has made an unexpected move ahead of Rangers clash on December 23 against Ross County, giving early insight into his team selection, according to Glasgow Times journalist David Irvine.

Beale revealed that he will make five changes to his side to face Ross County in an unprecedented move by the new Gers head coach.

Irvine relayed Beale’s comments regarding his team selection and whilst managers have called this bluff in the past, the Englishman isn’t the kind of character to do this.

“The Ibrox boss offered an unexpected early insight into his team selection as he admitted he’ll make a host of changes,” as quoted by the Glasgow Times.

“Arfield may well have played himself into a starting spot after his Aberdeen heroics while Connor Goldson could start again – but potentially partnered by Ben Davies.”

Interesting move.

It’s an interesting move from Beale to say the least and one that’s quite different to how other Rangers managers have walked before him.

Although it must be said, the Englishman’s utter transparency with fans in press conferences since taking over the role has been great to see.

It was felt during Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s tenure too many times that the Dutchman wasn’t completely transparent with fans regarding squad updates and injuries.

This left many of the Ibrox faithful feeling left in the dark, especially during this campaign so this change of attitude that Beale has brought with him is a breath of fresh air.

That being said, completely giving away the team’s selection is a risky move, but Beale’s vagueness still leaves much to the imagination.

With luck, Rangers can push on and get another win under Beale, the team’s performances haven’t been great but there is certainly a will and desire back in the Light Blues side which is nice to see.

In other Rangers news, a journalist has shared what he’s been told as a £6million bid is lined up for a Gers ace.
