Journalist drops clue on Rangers move for Birmingham sensation Jobe Bellingham
Jobe Bellingham following his brother Jude to Borussia Dortmund is a “genuine consideration” as Rangers look to land the Birmingham youngster, according to Dean Jones.
Teamtalk revealed (15 December) the Gers, Newcastle, Sunderland and Middlesbrough were all interested in signing the 17-year-old.
However, former Eurosport journalist Jones has suggested it would be a “surprise” if Bellingham decided to make the move north of the border.

“It’s worth a try. I would be surprised if this is the path that Jobe takes [moving to Rangers], but he obviously has a lot to consider right now,” he said (GIVEMESPORT, 21 December).
“And that includes following Jude Bellingham’s path and going to Borussia Dortmund because from what I hear, that is a genuine consideration right now.”
Lots of suitors
Bellingham must ensure that his next move results in him playing regularly, much like his brother has done at Borussia Dortmund. Considering the success Jude has had in the Bundesliga, it would not be a surprise to see Jobe follow suit.
He would certainly be given the opportunity to thrive at Ibrox, with a number of younger players currently pushing for the first team, however, the Scottish Premiership is probably not the ideal environment for the Birmingham youngster to take his game to the next level.

The Gers should certainly keep a keen eye on Jobe’s situation at St Andrew’s, but this isn’t one fans should get too excited about.
It’s good to see Rangers linked with the likes of Bellingham, with Michael Beale eager to give youth a chance during his time at Ibrox. Adam Devine has been given first-team opportunities already and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Alex Lowry and Zak Lovelace being given more gametime in the second half of the season.
