Rangers will want Connor Goldson to start v Aberdeen after massive injury news – Pundit
We’re delighted to welcome Tam McManus as our exclusive Rangers columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Ibrox…
Tam McManus has insisted that Michael Beale will want Connor Goldson back in his Rangers starting XI as soon as possible as he returns from injury.
The pundit admitted that the English enforcer could even feature on Tuesday 20 December as the Bears travel to Pittodrie to take on Aberdeen.
John Lundstram and James Sands started in the 3-2 win against Hibernian last time out, but McManus labelled their display as simply “dreadful” throughout.

“I think Goldson will,” he exclusively told Ibrox News.
“I think Rangers were very poor on the night [v Hibs] and the two makeshift centre-halves, Lundstram and Sands were dreadful.
“I think that they will be wanting to get Goldson and Davies back in the team as quickly as possible and have proper centre-halves in there who know how to defend, who smell danger and not two midfield players.
“If you’re an Aberdeen player or manager and you see those two playing at the back, you fancy your chances.”

Beale will be absolutely thrilled that his main man could be back in action as early as tonight.
There were no guarantees that Goldson would start against Aberdeen, but he will be in the squad, and the defender isn’t one of those who simply make up the numbers.
Lundstram and Sands were not good enough last time out, with some comedy defending on show, so it would be no surprise to see one of Ben Davies or Leon King come back into partner Goldson too.
All eyes are on that team news.
In other Rangers news, Michael Beale may have uncovered a “Rolls Royce” at Ibrox despite being underused all season long.
