Journalist cringes over what ‘pathetic’ Aberdeen fans did to Rangers star Ryan Jack
Ryan Jack was not the most popular player on the pitch from Aberdeen fans as they hosted Rangers at Pittodrie on Tuesday (20 December).
The Scottish international made more than 250 appearances for the Dons before he made the switch to Ibrox in 2017 where he has remained ever since.
Throughout the game, home fans were booing the 30-year-old whenever he touched the ball and Rangers Review journalist Derek Clark was dumbfounded at the act.
“Always find the booing of Ryan Jack from Aberdeen fans cringingly pathetic,” he said via his personal Twitter account. “250 games is sterling service, his only crime being that his talent earned him a move to a bigger club.”
Aberdeen almost had the last laugh in the end, however, but Scott Arfield rescued Michael Beale’s side with an equalising goal in the 95th minute of the match and then a winner in the 97th as it ended 3-2.
Strange
If Rangers and Aberdeen could be considered rivals at all then maybe the Dons supporters would have a valid reason to be booing Jack but the Light Blues don’t give their opponents a second thought when they are not playing each other.
It’s not like Celtic who often are at the forefront of everything Rangers do, and vice versa, as they are so closely matched across the board.

Aberdeen are almost irrelevant to the Bears in the grand scheme of things and even though they may almost have got a point on the night at Pittodrie, they still have a huge gap to close to even get on terms with them.
Jack can’t be blamed for wanting to join a bigger and better club back in 2017 because he has to look after his own career before anything else.
He was far too good for Aberdeen then and he is still far too good for them overall, even if he failed to show it in front of the booing home crowd on a windy evening.
