Sir Kenny Dalglish delivers transfer verdict on Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos
Sir Kenny Dalglish has suggested that Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos doesn’t appear to have many “attractive offers” to consider.
Morelos scored the winning goal on Thursday (15 December) as Rangers secured a 3-2 win against Hibernian in Michael Beale’s first game in charge.
The Colombian striker has a contract at the club until the end of the season, and there’s no indication that he will sign a new deal.

“There is a working relationship between Michael and Morelos,” wrote Dalglish for Sunday Post.
“But that doesn’t necessarily mean the manager wants him to stay for the long-term, or that the player wants to be part of the plans beyond this season.
“At the moment, it would be fair to speculate that there doesn’t appear to be many attractive offers for Morelos to consider.
“That could work in Rangers’ favour as the player will need to reproduce the form he showed two years ago to get a higher level of interest from elsewhere.
“So he may well need to stay put for the next six months and really show what he is all about.”
Uncertain future
Morelos has been a great servant for the club, and his situation needs to be solved.
He has scored over 100 goals for Rangers, but he still could be sold in January.
The Colombian striker dropped down the pecking order behind Antonio Colak under Giovanni van Bronkhorst.
To be honest, Morelos was below par with his performance and based on that he simply doesn’t deserve a new deal at the club.

However, Beale can get the best out of him. It is highly possible that Morelos does not have enough lucrative offers on the table at the moment.
So, in order to get higher level of interest from elsewhere, he needs to work really hard. It can definitely work in Rangers’ favour but the Bears need to tie him to a new deal.
Otherwise, it will be wise to sell him in January. At the moment, he must focus on cementing his position in the side and start regularly, ahead of Colak.
In other Rangers news, an out-of-court agreement could be reached for the Gers as documents have been submitted.
