Steven Davis sent for scan in worrying Rangers early team news v Aberdeen
Early team news for Rangers clash against Aberdeen has been revealed by Michael Beale on 19 December with a worrying update provided on midfielder Steven Davis.
The midfielder is said to have been sent for a scan after falling awkwardly in another possible injury scare for the Gers in the growing list.
Jordan Campbell of The Athletic relayed the Beale press conference news on Twitter, highlighting that Antonio Colak will be back Friday and Conor Goldson return on 20 December, but Kemar Roofe is ruled out.
“Beale says Steven Davis went for a scan today after an awkward landing in training,” said Campbell on Twitter.
“Colak will be back Friday and Barisic should be back from Croatia for Motherwell but Goldson is in the match day squad tomorrow. Roofe still out.”

Must-win.
It’s nice to see the likes of Goldson and Colak back in the mix for the Gers heading into a must-win clash against Aberdeen.
The likely return of Borna Barisic next week will also help the Light Blues backline and will hopefully add some stability to it in the coming weeks.
Beale may finally get to try out the partnership of Colak and Alfredo Morelos up top for Rangers, something fans have been eager to see.
Davis’ apparent injury adds to the list of players already on the sidelines and falling awkwardly and being sent for a scan never bodes well.
With luck, this is something he can get over quite quickly, Rangers need all the midfield reinforcements they can get in the hectic Christmas schedule.
Roofe being out on the sidelines again is strange, what’s wrong with him this time? The forward just doesn’t seem to be having any luck at the moment.
In other Rangers news, an out-of-court agreement could be reached for the Gers as documents have been submitted.
