Rangers have big transfer call to make on Malik Tillman as he shines for Michael Beale

We’re delighted to welcome Tam McManus as our exclusive Rangers columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Ibrox…

Tam McManus has insisted that Rangers have got a big decision to make on whether to sign Malik Tillman permanently this summer.

The American caught the eye with a “lovely” performance against Hibernian in the 3-2 win where he picked up a couple of assists at Ibrox.

Christian Falk has reported that there is a £6million option for the Bears to sign the American at the end of the season, with more consistency needed.

“I thought he played really well, Tillman,” he exclusively told Ibrox News.

“I think he showed that he’s got tonnes of ability, unfortunately, he’s not shown it on a regular basis, but if he plays like that throughout the rest of the season then Rangers will have a big decision to make on whether they sign him permanently.

“He’s got to put those types of performances in every week, lovely assist and he looked like a very good player. Rangers deservedly won in that second half.”

With Michael Beale at the helm, it looks as though Tillman will be given a new lease of life in the heart of the side and something that could see him explode.

The American needs to show what he did in the second half against Hibernian consistently in games and then there will be no choice but to get this deal over the line.

In other Rangers news, Michael Beale may have uncovered a “Rolls Royce” at Ibrox despite being underused all season long.
