Malik Tillman future Rangers move looks inevitable after declaration of love

A permanent move for Rangers loanee Malik Tillman in the summer looks inevitable after his declaration of love for the club this week.

Tillman joined Rangers on loan from Bayern Munich in the summer and has shown glimpses of brilliance at Ibrox. His technical ability is undeniable and it’s now down to Michael Beale to try and build some consistency in his performances.

The 20-year-old US international was criticised for his workrate at times under Giovanni van Bronckhorst but his creative threat is one of the best in the Gers squad.

With speculation starting to grow around whether Tillman will make his Ibrox move permanent or not in the summer, the attacking midfielder chimed in following the club’s 3-2 win over Hibernian this week.

Following the match, Tillman declared his love for the club and insisted he is at the right place to develop as a player.

“There have been some ups and downs but I always try and give my best and keep improving the whole time. I came here to play as many games as I can,” said Tillman, as quoted by Football Scotland.

“I love the club and everything around it, so we will see what will happen in the summer.”

It hasn’t taken long for Tillman to be swept away by the Rangers’ fever. Playing at Ibrox in front of the best fans in the world is a feeling every player wants to experience, and with Beale now at the helm, there’s an exciting future for the club ahead.

Tillman clearly recognises that the club hold him in high regard and view him as a player who can enjoy long-term success at Ibrox if he ensures his attitude and application are right.

Returning to Bayern Munich would be a step back for his career at this point, with Rangers willing to give him regular game time and attacking freedom.

Provided that Beale wants him to stay – and that both clubs can agree on a fee – there’s no reason why Tillman shouldn’t become a full-time Rangers player in the summer.
