Andy Walker loses his mind over what he saw in Rangers v Hibernian on Sky Sports
Sky Sports commentator Andy Walker lost his mind after Rangers conceded early on to Hibernian in Michael Beale’s first Scottish Premiership clash as head coach on 15 December.
In true annoying fashion, it was Ryan Porteous who put Hibs ahead early on, who else? In what was a frantic return to Scottish Premiership action at Ibrox.
Walker confessed that it was an “astonishing” error from the Rangers defence in the lead-up to the first goal, one which saw Porteous seemingly creep into the box from nowhere.

“Sometimes you can accept giving a goal away, but that is so cheap,” exclaimed Walker during live commentary of the game on Sky Sports (20:11).
“It’s an astonishing error from the Rangers defence to be giving away.”

Comical defending.
What in the actual was that defending in the first half? The Scottish Premiership is well and truly back and apparently Rangers defence still absolutely stinks.
The defending for both Hibernian goals was comical, the Gers were split open far too easily by an out-of-form Hibs outfit.
John Lundstram looked completely lost at times in the centre-back position and it seems Beale’s decision to start him there has completely backfired.
Hibernian, unfortunately, consistently looked to exploit the inexperience of Adam Devine at left-back, another bold choice from Beale that has been cast into doubt.
Rangers enjoyed the majority of possession throughout the game, so maybe this is something we’ll be seeing more of from Beale’s side in the coming months.
With luck, Rangers will improve from this result, it’s early days in the Beale era but there wasn’t much to shout about from the defensive ranks, when is Connor Goldson coming back again?
In other Rangers news, an out-of-court agreement could be reached for the Gers as documents have been submitted.
