Michael Beale drops major selection hint ahead of Rangers clash v Hibernian

Michael Beale has dropped a major selection hint that he could use both of his strikers as Rangers prepare to take on Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership on Thursday (15 December).

Giovanni van Bronckhorst only used either Antonio Colak or Alfredo Morelos in the starting line-up, but it seems Beale is happy to play with two strikers.

Heart and Hand have relayed on Twitter (14 December) what Beale has said in his press conference on Wednesday (14 December), and clearly, there’s a big selection “hint”.

“I’m looking to get two strikers on the pitch, more goalscorers into the team so there’s a hint for you,” said Beale, as relayed by Heart and Hand Podcast.

Fresh journey

The Bears look to get the season back on track under a new manager and there is an air of excitement around the club.

Colak has been sensational under the Dutchman and he should be looking to make a strong impact under Beale as well.

The arrival of Beale could see a change in fortune for Morelos as well. The Colombian has struggled for form and fitness while his contract situation remains unsolved.

Rangers

Morelos played his best football under the Steven Gerrard-Beale partnership, and he will be hoping that the new manager will give him the confidence to regain his best form.

It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Kemar Roofe. The former Leeds striker is back in training but Beale doesn’t seem interested to throw him into the mix straight away.

The Gers are nine points behind Celtic at the top of the table. The focus should be on winning every game from here and taking it one game at a time.

In other Rangers news, an out-of-court agreement could be reached for the Gers as documents have been submitted.
