Rangers star Malik Tillman could be transformed into £20million player under Michael Beale
Signing Rangers star Malik Tillman on a permanent deal would represent good business for Michael Beale, who could transform the midfielder into a £20million player at the club, according to journalist David McCarthy.
The Gers are reportedly interested in signing the 20-year-old for a rumoured fee of £6million from Bayern Munich, a clause which is included in the player’s season-long loan agreement with the Glasgow club. [Christian Falk]
Tillman scored a first-half double in Beale’s 3-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen, and Beale spoke in glowing terms of the American post-match – making his intentions to sign him very clear.

Daily Record journalist McCarthy reiterated these praises of the midfielder but labelled a potential move by the club as a “gamble”.
He said: “He’s got the potential to be a very good player and has shown it in flashes.
“If Beale can get a tune out of him and turn him into a £20m player then it would be good business. But it’s a gamble.”
Great talent
Although he has been frustrating to watch this season under Giovanni van Bronckhorst, Tillman’s talent is undeniable.
At the age of 20, the midfielder already has many attributes which could make him a first-team regular at the Glasgow club.
He showed Beale his attacking class and his natural finishing instincts when netting a quick-fire double at the weekend, and the 42-year-old will be looking forward to the opportunity to transform him into a class act.
Even though Rangers faced an off-form Leverkusen side, the dominant fashion of their victory and the performance of Tillman will leave fans waiting in bated anticipation for the Scottish Premiership’s return to Ibrox on December 15, as the club take on Hibernian.
With a nine-point gap sitting between them and Celtic, Beale will need to hit the ground running if he is to reel in the Hoops, and the role of Tillman could just have been highlighted after this timely performance.
In other Rangers news, Kemar Roofe is surely in his last-chance saloon at Rangers as Michael Beale offers him a fresh chance.
