Leon King has agreed to sign a new Rangers contract that will keep him at the club until 2026, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.
The talented centre-back had been linked with a move away from Ibrox at the end of the season, nevertheless, it seems he has chosen to stay put.
Romano confessed that he’s been “told” that King has agreed to a new contract that is valid until June 2026 and it will be signed in the next few days.
“Important update for Rangers FC. Been told Leon King has agreed new contract valid until June 2026, here we go,” exclaimed Romano on Twitter.
“Scottish top talented centre back is on the list of many top Premier League clubs — new deal in place, to be signed in the next days.”

King is a classy young talent and it shows a real move of intent by the Glasgow club to tie him down to a lengthy contract.
Especially when you consider the amount of interest surrounding his name, it’s hard to ignore Premier League vultures when they come calling.
But King has done just that and by committing himself to Ibrox until 2026, he will be playing the peak years of his career at Rangers.
The move also suggests that King is highly rated by Beale and is evidently part of the Englishman’s plans moving forward at Ibrox.
Hopefully, the centre-back can now push on and become a vital cog within the Gers setup, he’ll be needed over the coming seasons to mount Scottish Premiership title pushes.
