Fabrizio Romano responds to Rangers fan over new Leon King contract
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has responded to a Rangers fan on Twitter claiming that a picture of Leon King will soon emerge to confirm his new contract.
King is set to sign a new and improved contract with the Gers, as revealed by the transfer specialist himself on 12 December, adding another two years to his current deal.
Romano confessed to a fan on Twitter who questioned the truth of the contract update that he will be seeing a picture of King with his shirt and 2026 on it soon.
“You’ll see a pic of Leon with his shirt and 2026 on it soon. Don’t worry,” reaffirmed Romano on Twitter.
After a solid display against Bayer Leverkusen on 10 December, this news was the icing on the cake for Light Blue fans only two days later with English interest batted away.

Fantastic.
Keeping young and hungry talents at the club is exactly what Rangers need to be doing and the new and improved contract of King is a step in the right direction.
If Romano is correct, when isn’t he? Then the teenager looks set to stay at Ibrox for the peak years of his career, which would be fantastic.
King has been promoted and trusted as the Gers centre-back due to an injury crisis in the first-team and has done pretty well on a whole considering he was thrust into the action out of nowhere.
He will only get better from this and there are clear signs that he can be a key cog within Michael Beale’s Rangers side for years to come.
There is a reason why Rangers are giving him an extension and even though he’s had some questionable games you have to remember he is only 18 years old.
The arrival of the new head coach has obviously influenced the young Scot’s decision and this bodes well for other talents who have been having contract squabbles with the club.
In other Rangers news, this prolific goalscorer is “excited” by speculation linking him with a move to Ibrox in January.
