Josh McPake offers Michael Beale reminder as Rangers loanee scores stunner on loan

Michael Beale has already had a good look at the Rangers players at Auchenhowie since he took charge but one player is keen to be remembered.

Josh McPake is currently out on loan at Queens Park in the lower depths of the Scottish football pyramid and therefore has not yet been able to show Beale what he can do in the training field.

But what he can do is produce moments of magic like he did on Saturday (10 December) as the second-tier side beat Montrose 2-0 in the SPFL Trust Trophy.

McPake scored the second goal of the game and it was such a good goal that he shared the whole video on his personal Twitter account for everyone, and especially Beale, to see.

Collecting the ball deep in his own half, the 21-year-old surged into the Montrose half and just kept on going unchallenged before lashing a fierce strike into the bottom left-hand corner.

It was a truly wonderful goal and his academy coaches at Auchenhwoie will no doubt be giving Beale a nudge and showing him what McPake has to offer when he gets the chance to shine.

He is currently on his sixth loan away from Ibrox and he is still yet to be given any chances to prove himself for the Premiership giants despite impressing at most of his temporary clubs.

With Beale taking over from Giovanni van Bronckhorst, there could be a pathway back into the conversation for McPake who looked to have been frozen out by the Dutchman despite claiming he would get a chance in pre-season.

If the new boss is sufficiently impressed, he could opt to recall him in January and give him a first-team chance but the depth at Ibrox is a constant problem.

In other Rangers news, Kenny Miller wants his former club to make big moves to sign this Premiership defender despite his on-pitch antics.
