Pundit reacts to what Ange Postecoglou said about Rangers hiring Michael Beale as new manager
We’re delighted to welcome Tam McManus as our exclusive Rangers columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Ibrox…
Celtic won’t be worrying themselves too much over Rangers after Michael Beale was hired as the new manager, according to Tam McManus.
Ange Postecoglou brushed off talking about the Gers’ decision to sack Giovanni van Bronckhorst and replace him with Beale last week.
As quoted by the Scottish Sun on 3 December, the Celtic manager said the change in the dug-out at Ibrox “is registering below what I’m having for dinner tonight”.

McManus doesn’t doubt Postecoglou, saying that Celtic just need to keep winning their games in order to win the Scottish Premiership title.
“In the Old Firm, you’re going to be asked those questions when Rangers or Celtic have a new manager,” McManus told Ibrox News.
“I’m sure Ange will be focusing on Celtic and that’s worked for him so far.
“I don’t think he’ll be worrying too much about Rangers and the new Rangers manager.
“Ange is always great for a soundbite for the press and that was another one. But I don’t think Celtic will be worrying anything about Rangers at all, to be honest with you.
“They’ll just be concentrating on winning games because if they do that, the league title will be at Parkhead.”

Beale takes charge of Rangers in a difficult position.
The Glaswegians are out of Europe and nine points adrift in the race for the Scottish Premiership title.
The Light Blues return to domestic action next week against Hibernian, with the Hibees set to make their way to Ibrox on Thursday (15 December).
In other Rangers news, this prolific goalscorer is “excited” by speculation linking him with a move to Ibrox in January.
