BBC Sport pundit: ‘Rubbish’ Alfredo Morelos told he won’t find a better club than Rangers amid exit talks
Alfredo Morelos sees his Rangers contract expire in the summer, and Pat Nevin has warned the striker that he won’t find anywhere better than Ibrox.
Morelos has spent five seasons in Glasgow, but rumours of an exit are starting to grow with the 26-year-old still yet to sign a new deal with Rangers this season.
Nevin isn’t too concerned about Morelos leaving though, with the ex-Scotland winger slamming the Colombian for his performances this season.

“Morelos was rubbish in the Old Firm and won’t play for a better club than Rangers,” BBC Sport pundit Nevin told Grosvenor Sport, as quoted by Glasgow Times.
Rumours of Morelos leaving Rangers were heightened this week after sporting director Ross Wilson was questioned about his contract negotiations in the club’s AGM.
“There is definitely a willingness from the manager for the two boys [Morelos and Ryan Kent] to be part of Rangers moving forward,” said Wilson.
“Time will tell if we can get there. Certainly from the club’s point of view, we want the players to be with us.”
Contract rebel
If Morelos is going to cause the club hassle by pushing for difficult terms during his contract talks, then Rangers might be better off letting him leave.
Antonio Colak has shown the impact a new striker can have coming into the club, and while Morelos has served the club brilliantly, there’s no denying that he’s also had a few moments to forget in a Rangers shirt.

The hot-headed Colombian is great on his day, but when he’s not in form he slows down the team considerably and his performances this season have been poor.
Losing him for free would be the biggest blow. Morelos is perhaps one of the most valuable assets in what is an ageing Gers squad and allowing his contract to run down shows the naivety of the board.
Wilson was slammed by fans in the AGM for a number of horrible decisions made by the club when it comes to transfers and contracts, and losing Morelos on a free deal could well be the final nail in his coffin.
It’s a horrible situation for the club to be in, and time is running out to make a decision.
