Ahmed Kendouci Rangers link to push Glen Kamara out of Ibrox after recent controversy
Glen Kamara has endured a turbulent time at Rangers in recent months – and the Finland international’s future at Ibrox could be in doubt.
The 27-year-old has featured just seven times in the Scottish Premiership after being somewhat frozen out under Giovanni van Bronckhorst for the first half of the 2022/23 season.
It’s been a big fall from grace for the midfielder after he attracted plenty of interest from some big sides across Europe and the Premier League. 90min reported (23 June) that Brighton, along with RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt were interested in signing him in the summer.

However, his departure from Ibrox did not materialise and now he finds himself in limbo. There was hope that Michael Beale’s appointment as manager may see Kamara come back into contention, however, after the latest news to come out of the club, it appears that isn’t the case.
Football Scotland suggest (7 December) Rangers have already begun talks over a move for 23-year-old midfielder Ahmed Kendouci. His club, ES Sétif, are understood to want a permanent exit for the 23-year-old, with Rangers interested in a potential loan move.

It appears Beale is already looking to bolster his midfield, and that could lead to the Kamara being allowed to leave in January. Furthermore, a controversial claim has recently been made by Tutto Salernitana (3 December), with the Italian news outlet suggesting Kamara has asked “to be sold”.
At present, it looks unlikely that the midfielder will go on to be a success at Ibrox, and considering his age, he will want to be playing first-team football regularly. He will be extremely frustrated about his summer exit not coming to fruition.
For Beale, he should now look to move the midfielder on and considering he is contracted to the club until 2025, he could be sold for a decent fee.
In other Rangers news, Beale’s conduct around Giovanni van Bronckhorst has seen him torn apart by a Sky Sports pundit.
