Peter Martin delivers Rangers AGM 2022 verdict ahead of annual meeting

Peter Martin delivered his Rangers AGM 2022 verdict ahead of the annual meeting on the PLZ Soccer YouTube channel on 5 December.

Dave King is attempting to oust Douglas Park as chairman at this year’s annual meeting with two lawsuits hanging over the current boards heads.

Martin confessed that “huge money” will be needed if Rangers get a new board with the demands made by the Ibrox faithful.

“It’s alright asking for a new board or wanting certain people out, chairman or certain board members but you got to have a plan,” said Martin on the PLZ Soccer YouTube channel.

“Where suddenly whoever is coming in, if they’re coming in with huge money, obviously everyone loves somebody who supports your club whose got huge money but I don’t see anybody there at the moment…”

AGM details.

The AGM meeting will take place on December 6 in what promises to be a fiery affair, with King attempting to overthrow Park as the club’s chairman.

Lack of spending in the transfer windows will likely be a big topic of debate, as this is what has been grinding the Gers fans the most in recent campaigns.

Kyle Fox’s ambitious plan to buy shares will also be a likely topic of discussion alongside the two lawsuits the Rangers board are currently facing from Hummell and the Sydney Super Cup.

Strategy when it comes to dealing with new contracts at the club will also be highlighted during the meeting, with many key players out of contract at the end of this season.

Will the board continue with their rhetoric that they are going to back Michael Beale in the upcoming transfer windows? We’ll have to wait and see.

It’s been a turbulent 12 months, to say the least, and whilst drastic changes are unlikely, nothing is impossible during the AGM.

In other Rangers news, a former Ibrox chief has slammed the current board for their decision to hire Beale.
