Douglas Park pleads with Club 1872 to sign NDA over ongoing Rangers issues

Douglas Park has pleaded with Club 1872 to sign an NDA over ongoing Rangers issues in the club’s annual AGM meeting.

The AGM 2022 meeting is taking place on 6 December and will discuss a host of matters ranging from lack of transfer funds to possible takeover bids.

Park finally broke his silence on Club 1872 during the meeting in response to a question from the group over what his five-year plan for success on the pitch and accountability off it was.

“The plan is to win as many trophies as possible,” responded Park as quoted by atcolin on Twitter.

“There is a problem with club 1872 that we would like to see resigned but it requires them to sign an NDA like everyone else. Club 1872 are welcome.”

Club 1872 background.

Club 1872 are a group of Rangers supporters that was formed in May 2016 by two supporter shareholder projects, Rangers First, and the Rangers Supporters Trust’s Buy Rangers scheme.

They are currently the 6th largest shareholder in Rangers football club and are the voice of the fans of the club, so to speak.

The “Club” was formed to avoid the disastrous events of the team being demoted to the bottom tier of Scottish football ever again.

Their ambitions include making direct financial contributions to the club over the next few years and growing their shareholding in Rangers.

Club 1872 are also striving to initiate supporter-driven projects at Ibrox and making fans’ experiences of game days more enjoyable through things like safe standing.

Park will be under extreme scrutiny at the AGM from the group as the comments and questions above have highlighted and with luck, this will push the club towards making some much-needed changes.

In other Rangers news, this prolific goalscorer is “excited” by speculation linking him with a move to Ibrox in January.
