Michael Beale gets ‘huge’ round of applause at Rangers AGM after Douglas Park speaks out
Michael Beale received a “huge” round of applause from the Rangers AGM after Douglas Park spoke at the meeting, according to Daily Record.
The meeting took place on Tuesday (6 December), with chairman Park leading the way by introducing all 11 people at the top table, which drew a big reaction from those in attendance when Beale was announced.
It was a well attended event too, with more seating needing to be brought in to accommodate for everyone present.
“Douglas Park introduces the 11 men at the top table,” they wrote.
“There’s a huge round of applause for Michael Beale as extra seating is brought in to accommodate everyone in attendance.”
Popular
We already knew how popular Beale was at Rangers before his return, because there had been a clamour for it prior to Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s sacking as manager.
But it’s clear that he’s popular among those with a say in the boardroom too considering the reaction he received from those in the room, including on the stage.

Beale has been given a clear backing by the board and the supporters that he can really turn around what is a tough situation at Ibrox right now, but there is belief he is the right man.
Fans and pundits had admitted they were a bit wary because of his inexperience, and obviously with not games played yet there’s been nothing to suggest otherwise.
But he has brought back a feel-good feeling to Ibrox almost immediately despite a serious concern and a poor start to the season, so fingers crossed he can now deliver on the huge expectations.
