Rangers given Ross Stewart hurry up as European club eye January move
Michael Beale is yet to manage a game as Rangers manager but he is already getting the hurry up in the January transfer window.
The Daily Record reported on 28 November that the Light Blues could be ready to make a move for Sunderland striker Ross Stewart who has a lot of suitors in both Britain and Europe.
But they have now received a kick up the rear in their efforts to improve the squad in January with another European heavyweight on the Scottish forward’s tail.

According to The Sun journalist Alan Nixon, Greek giants Olympiakos are now interested in making a move for the Black Cats talisman who has not played for several weeks due to a long-term injury at the Stadium of Light.
Sunderland do have the option to extend his contract on Wearside but they could be willing to listen to offers in the winter window should any of them match their asking price.
Currently, he has been unwilling to sign new terms with Tony Mowbray’s side even though his director of football, Kristjaan Speakman, described him as “incredible” over the summer [Chronicle Live].
A striker would go a long way for Rangers who have not found the best in Alfredo Morelos this season, who himself has a contract situation in need of resolving one way or another.

Antonio Colak has been brilliant so far under Giovanni van Bronckhorst but the Bears cannot afford to rely on the Croatian’s talents and his fitness for the entirety of the season.
Beale needs more than one top striker firing on all cylinders and if Stewart is going to be available for a reasonable price, then they have to pull their fingers out and get going on a deal.
There is no reason why the Gers can’t announce his signing on 1 January when the window opens if they decide to make Christmas a busy time rather than one of no work.
In other Rangers news, Hugh Keevins is demanding a very high ceiling for Beale in what is only his second managerial job.
