Rangers follow up Michael Beale appointment with two new training upgrades at Auchenhowie
Michael Beale was given a tour of the Rangers training complex this week, with Ross Wilson outlining two major changes being installed.
It has only been a year since Beale last called Ibrox home, although now he returns to Glasgow as Rangers manager as opposed to Steven Gerrard’s assistant.
Upon his arrival at Ibrox, club director Wilson gave the 42-year-old an updated tour of the training facilities and outlined two major upgrades in the pipeline.

“The next thing that is happening here. Two things. There is a new camera system coming in from tomorrow. One of those where you can watch sit at your desk and watch training and stuff. Then pitch lights, heat lamps are coming in any week now,” Wilson told Beale on Rangers TV, as quoted by Scottish Daily Express.
After being shown the updated training facilities and his new office, Beale replied: “Oh, wow” he exclaimed. “It has been changed up, hasn’t it? Class!”
Investment
Beale’s reaction suggests a lot has changed at Ibrox since he last called it home, which is a good sign of the board’s investment in infrastructure and training facilities.
Having spent three-and-a-half years as a coach at Rangers, Beale would have been familiar with the technology already at Auchenhowie. Further investment will hopefully help him in his task to develop and improve the Rangers squad.

A new camera system will help Beale assess training and provide video analysis to his squad – a development that is becoming vital in the modern game.
Having picked Beale to replace Giovanni van Bronckhorst, hopefully the board continue to back the former QPR manager throughout January where a major transfer overhaul begins.
It’ll take time for Beale to close the gap up to Celtic and reinstate Rangers at the top of Scottish football, but the only way it’s possible is if the club heads in the same direction together under Beale.
