Glen Kamara asks Rangers to sell him despite Michael Beale comments amid growing interest
Glen Kamara apparently isn’t interested in the Rangers revolution under Michael Beale and has asked to leave, according to Tutto Salernitana.
The Finnish international has made 16 appearances in all competitions this season but has only featured seven times in the SPFL, amid injury and suggestions, which were denied, of a falling out with former manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst [Daily Record, 14 November].
New boss Beale had declared that Kamara had “100 per cent of my trust” and would be a “big player moving forward” when he was unveiled as Ibrox manager [Scottish Sun, 2 December], but the midfielder has supposedly made up his mind.

According to the Saturday (3 December) report from Tutto Salernitana the 27-year-old has asked “to be sold”, and is now a target for both Salernitana and Monza in Italy, as well as clubs in France and Spain.
Head turned?
Kamara will surely get a decent look in at Rangers with Beale in charge, after having a good relationship in their previous time together at the club.
But as the apparent interest mounts up the stakes are increasing, as he is seen as the most sellable asset in the squad now that Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent have so little left on their contracts.
The player would likely give the new manager a chance before making any categorical decisions, but there isn’t long for the former QPR boss before the transfer window opens.

Just over a month in real time, and four league games, is the amount of time that Beale has to get a spark in the relationship between Kamara and the club, because if offers come in during January those exit routes will become real.
If he is installed back into the starting line up on a regular basis and performs to his best it would give the side an immediate boost.
But on the other hand, should any of the interested sides stump up decent money the club’s player trading model might make it necessary to take what’s on offer.
He, as much as anyone in the squad, will be one to keep an eye on in the early weeks of the Beale era, and whatever happens with him could be instructive for how things will go more widely under the 42-year-old.
In other Rangers news, Beale’s conduct around Giovanni van Bronckhorst has seen him torn apart by a Sky Sports pundit.
