Rangers have perfect chance to get one over Celtic in major January transfer battle

Rangers desperately need a game changer in the middle of the park and they may need to act soon to sign Oscar Gloukh with Celtic also in the race.

According to the Daily Record [1 December], the 18-year-old midfielder, was on Gers’ radar over the past few months but is no longer being considered at Ibrox.

Celtic, on the other hand, appear to be serious about making a move for him in January and could look to attract him with a decent offer.

While Rangers are looking at other options, none of the names we’ve heard or read about quite have that X-factor like the Israel international does.

With Michael Beale now at the helm, given his track record for promoting youth and working with the academy, signing players on the cusp of making it big is what the transfer focus should be.

Gloukh, despite his age, would walk into the playing eleven at Rangers and if he moves across the city and has a good career at Celtic, fans will look back to this era.

Gers here have the perfect chance to get one over Celtic in the transfer window and they need to re-enter the race to secure his services.

While he is predominantly a number 10, he is known for his movement and ability to get involved in the build up so he can be used in a midfield three as well.

He’s also got the terrific passing ability and can break down resolute defences with his killer passes so if there’s a chance to sign him, Rangers have to re-enter the race.

In other Rangers news, Ross Wilson is put on high alert as a “Magnificent” midfielder is now prepared to leave his club in the January transfer window amid Ibrox links.
