Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou reacts as Rangers confirm Michael Beale as new manager

Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou apparently couldn’t care less about Rangers appointing Michael Beale as their new head coach, according to journalist John McGinley.

The Australian loves to throw a brutal jibe at the Gers whenever he gets the opportunity to do so and it seems he hasn’t backed down here either.

McGinley relayed Postecoglou’s reaction to what he thought about the new Rangers managerial change on Twitter.

“Ange Postecoglou when asked about managerial change at Rangers: ‘On the scale of things that have been on my mind over the last 2 weeks, I reckon that’s registering below what I am having for dinner tonight.’,” echoed McGinley on Twitter.

It’s likely the Celtic man is trying to show off to the media as always with some outlandish bravado, but he’ll definitely be thinking about Beale’s appointment.

Project Beale.

It’s extremely exciting to see what Beale is going to conjure up as the new Rangers boss and how he’ll line up his side on 15 December 2022 against Hibernian.

Glen Kamara, Alex Lowry, Ridvan Yilmaz, Ryan Kent and Malik Tillman are some of the names who could flourish under the guidance of Beale.

Kamara was a revelation during the Englishman’s last stint at the club and could be about to get more first-team action due to his return.

Teenager Lowry is arguably the player with the highest ceiling from the list above, Beale could be the man to unlock the youngsters terrifying creativity.

Yilmaz will likely be given more first-team shots under Beale, with the new head coach’s attacking style of play from the back suiting the Turk more than Croatia international Borna Barišić.

Kent is a tricky one, but the winger was loved by Beale during his time as Steven Gerrard’s number two and may be able to convince the 26-year-old of extending his stay at Ibrox.

Beale’s formations and savvy tactics could suit Tillman down to a tee, if he hits the ground running for the new Light Blues head coach, Rangers could well fork out £6m for him this summer.

In other Rangers news, Ibrox News understands that this teenage starlet has already wowed at Auchenhowie and could be offered a deal after Christmas.
