Rangers and Celtic poor decisions could lead to all hell breaking loose in January
All hell will break loose if the officials get any decisions wrong in the Old Firm clash between Rangers and Celtic on January 2, claimed Peter Martin on PLZ Soccer YouTube show.
It’s a big topic of debate in the Scottish Premiership and football in general whether or not VAR (Video Assistant Referee) is a useful tool in the modern game or not.
Martin confessed that “all hell will break loose” if the referee officiating the Old Firm game gets any decisions wrong involving VAR in response to Hugh Mcdonald recalling a story of Scottish ref Craig Thompson getting an Old Firm decision badly wrong.
“By January 2nd when one of these teams is denied something all hell will break loose,” said Martin on the PLZ Soccer YouTube show.
In a game by which the Gers faithful will have a better idea of how Michael Beale is going to fare as the team’s new head coach, it will be a massive occasion.

Are Rangers still in the Scottish Premiership title race? You should never write the Light Blues off but it’s going to be a tough ask to overtake Celtic now.
The Old Firm, however, provides the perfect opportunity for Rangers to regain some much-needed ground on their bitter rivals.
And the game could be a crowning moment in Beale’s return to Ibrox, imagine he enters the fixture unbeaten in the four previous Scottish Premiership battles.
Combine that with a thumping win over Celtic at Ibrox and the pressure would well and truly be on for Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou and his team.
Obviously, these are all complete hopes and dreams right now, but it’s certainly not out of the question that Beale will hit the ground running in Glasgow.
The Englishman is coming with a lot of support from a majority of Rangers fans and this should help him settle into the role far quicker than a usual new manager.
