Michael Beale breaks silence on further Rangers backroom additions

Michael Beale has confirmed that there will be one or two more additions to the Rangers backroom team in the coming weeks.

Neil Banfield, Damian Matthew and Harry Watling all followed Beale to Ibrox and have left QPR along with him.

The Gers boss is still not satisfied with the number of coaches he’s roped in so more names will be announced in the due course.

He said, via the Glasgow Evening Times on 30 November, “There will be more to come. There will be one or two more additions in the coming weeks which will be important as well in the support staff because a lot of staff left.”

Let’s get it done

A manager is only as good as his backroom staff and it’s good to see Beale having a loyal entourage that came with him to Ibrox.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s team have left and some have even said their farewells via social media but that’s important for an era to end.

There were good times, no doubt, but the Dutchman stopped showing signs that he could take the club forward in the future.

Beale left on a good note last time as Steven Gerrard brought the good times back to Ibrox when he joined Aston Villa.

It’s now time for him to get Rangers to another league title and also make them a better team in the Champions League when they qualify.

Gers were outplayed in most if not all games in Europe’s premier tournament this season and that cannot happen again as it’s an embarrassment for everyone.

In other Rangers news, Ross Wilson is put on high alert as a “Magnificent” midfielder is now prepared to leave his club in the January transfer window amid Ibrox links.
