Jim White shares what Michael Beale family think of move to Rangers with appointment close
Michael Beale’s family is keen to move to Glasgow as he closes in on a return to Rangers as manager, according to talkSPORT host Jim White.
Beale, 42, has been spotted arriving at Auchenhowie on Monday (28 November) ahead of an announcement that he’ll be the 18th permanent manager in charge at Ibrox [Scottish Sun].
It’ll end a week-long search to replace Giovanni van Bronckhorst, who was sacked last Monday following a dreadful run of form in Europe and in the Scottish Premiership.

Speaking on talkSPORT live in Qatar on Monday (28 November, 10:25am), White said: “I understand that his family would be keen on it and you obviously go with the family, don’t you?
Jordan said: “I’m sure you do and I’m sure his family would’ve been keen on him getting the QPR job because it was his first step into management to give him the opportunity to move out of the shadows, move into the situation where he can become a mainstream manager with all the financial benefits that go with that.
“It’s one thing being an assistant manager, it’s another thing behind front of house and all that goes that. I’m sure his family would like those benefits too.
“Bottom line here is he goes to Rangers and maybe he’ll reap what he sows because Rangers are in a very diffcult position, Celtic are dominant in this moment in time and the only game in town is what happens between Celtic and Rangers.”

Glasgow ties?
It must be hard for families of football managers and coaches who are constantly on the move.
But Beale is on the move way more than others would be because he’s the one making the decision to move.
He left Rangers to join Aston Villa.
He left Aston Villa to join QPR.
He seemed as though he was going to Wolves before a late change of heart meant he’d stay at QPR – for another month.
And now he’s coming back to Glasgow.
It makes you wonder how long he’ll last here.
Beale did a good job as assistant to Gerrard but this may feel like too big a step too soon for a man who’s essentially a rookie in the job he’s taking on.
Sure, it worked out for Gerrard but we’d be lying if we didn’t admit that Celtic’s Neil Lennon meltdown played a role in Gerrard winning title 55.
Ange Postecoglou’s side is a lot stronger now.
In other Rangers news, angry QPR fans edited Beale’s Wikipedia page on Sunday.
