Rangers could look to sign Brighton midfielder Billy Gilmour on loan in January transfer window
Rangers may decide to roll back the years and bring Brighton midfielder Billy Gilmour back to the Ibrox on a temporary basis in January.
The Scotland international moved to the south coast over the summer with Graham Potter then in charge of the club.
However, he’s since moved to Chelsea and Gilmour has struggled for game time there – having yet to make his first Premier League start for his new side.

The 21-year-old appears disgruntled with the lack of minutes and is keen on doing something to ensure that he gets a good amount of football this season.
According to the Scottish Sun on 19 November, Gilmour is open to a loan exit in the January window and will even be fine with moving to a different country.
Via the same publication, the Seagulls are already eyeing a move for young Huddersfield Town midfielder Etienne Camara which means that the Scotland international is not part of manager Roberto de Zerbi’s plans.
90min reported (18 April) that Ibrox could be a potential destination for the midfielder but he then ended up going to Brighton.
However, Ross Wilson should be on high alert as he’ll get a cost-effective midfielder who would undoubtedly strengthen the first team.
Gilmour has earned praise from Sky Sports’ Ian Crocker who labelled him “Magnificent” in an international game against Poland on 24 March. [Football London]
Rangers would be foolish not to give him a go in January as he can play in a plethora of positions and has that spark in him to break open rigid defences.
In other Rangers news, a four-time league winner is likely to want to replace Giovanni van Bronckhorst and may even throw his CV into the mix after a major recent development.
