Former Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl on Rangers shortlist amid recent Michael Beale development
Rangers reportedly have the former Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl on their shortlist despite being in talks with Michael Beale.
According to the Scottish Sun on 26 November, Gers are closing in on appointing the QPR manager but do have other names they’ve been looking at.
Bar Hasenhuttl, Sean Dyche, Kevin Muscat and Gerardo Seoane are the other managers that make the five-man shortlist.

Beale backup?
We’ve seen managerial appointments heating up in the past before fizzling out and that could happen with Beale despite things looking pretty solid.
Earlier, it did seem he was on his way to Wolves, but he then pulled out of it at the eleventh hour rather than quashing rumours at the start.
In case Rangers fail to get their former assistant over the line, we would not be against bringing someone like Hasenhuttl through the door.
He played some incredible football at RB Leipzig and then continued the trend in his four largely successful years at Southampton.
His counter-pressing brand of football won him plenty of admirers, no less than Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp who also plays the same way. [Sky Sports]
It’s good to see Rangers are prepared for the worst but we still think that the Beale deal will go ahead unless he has a sudden change of heart or if the board are unwilling to match his demands.
In other Rangers news, a four-time league winner is likely to want to replace Giovanni van Bronckhorst and may even throw his CV into the mix after a major recent development.
