Lee Wallace tipped to make Rangers return with Michael Beale by ex-Ibrox player
Dominic Ball has urged Michael Beale to hand a reprieve to ex-Rangers stalwart Lee Wallace and invite him to join his backroom staff during an interview with Daily Record.
Ball, who played alongside the ex-Gers skipper Wallace during his time at Ibrox, believes Beale should consider reaching out to the 35-year-old if he is appointed as manager.
The Rangers board are set to begin talks with Beale in the coming days over the vacant managerial position which was left when the club sacked Giovanni van Bronkhorst after a dire start to the season.

Speaking to Daily Record, Ball outlined how he was impressed with the retired defender’s forward-thinking views on the game and consequently that he would be the ideal man to help bed Beale into the club.
He said: “Lee spoke very highly of Michael Beale and Lee is someone whose opinion I really respect.
“Lee would be a great shout if Michael is looking for someone who knows the club to join his backroom staff. I can’t speak highly enough of Lee. I still speak to him now.
“I know he’s taking some time to study the game. I know he’d go in there and give everything he’s got trying to help Rangers be as good as they can be.”

Well Respected
There is no question that Wallace is revered by everyone associated with Rangers football club, and an appointment to Beale’s coaching setup would surely get the fans on their side.
Having a welcome face join him at the club is a win-win for Beale if he gets the job, with another person who knows his way around the club being extremely helpful.
Whether the QPR manager would want to bring his staff from the London club is yet to be known, but it is likely that he already has a trusted core of coaches who he would bring north of the border with him.
For Wallace, a return to Ibrox is filled with danger. Although the fans love him, there are massive issues with the board and a lot of baggage that comes with taking a coaching role at such a huge club.
All in all, Wallace joining the backroom staff would not be an unwelcome sight to fans and would add some much-needed positivity to the Ibrox Stadium.
